I chatted to Suzie Moffat recently, the curator of a wonderful art project that showcases the work of art by artists with Down's syndrome.
Heart & Sold has been exhibiting at The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester and is receiving fantastic coverage.
For those of you who don’t know, Heart & Sold is a thought provoking exhibition exploring artworks created with much love and passion, the exhibition hopes to communicate a heartfelt message and make a difference to people's lives. All of the artworks on display are produced by extremely talented artists, all of whom have Down syndrome.
Included within the exhibition and making worldwide headlines is a wonderful limited edition print called 'Rupert Flying Over The Clifton Suspension Bridge’ and in June this year the original painting was presented to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and was, quote ‘graciously received’ for Prince George’s nursery. With such high profile coverage, coupled with the success of The Royal Exchange exhibition, here at Heart & Sold, we are are extremely excited about our future ahead.

Since we set out on this journey in 2012 Heart & Sold has exceeded all our expectations, it has gone from strength to strength and we are now keen to continue moving forward, but we recently received some not so great news. Sadly we were unsuccessful in our bid to gain a much needed Arts Council England. In order for us to now move forward and continue showcasing not only these works but also the work of amazing new artists, Heart & Sold needs your help.
We’re looking for sponsors, particularly from companies with a corporate social responsibility policy and individuals who share our passion and dedication and will assist in taking Heart & Sold to the next level.
We remain ever positive in the hunt for the right sponsors and with your help and continued support I’m sure together we can find the right solution. If you feel the urge to make a small donation then please send a cheque made out to Heart & Sold Limited and post to the below address or donate using PayPal and by emailing suzie@heartandsold.org.uk.
Many thanks,
Suzie Moffat.
