Reviews

I sometimes get asked to advertise or endorse products or companies on my blog. Most of the time I say no because I do not want to distract from the message of the site. However, if a product comes along that I genuinely think would be suitable for Natty and any other children with additional needs, then I say yes.

Gorgeous inclusive 2014 calendars featuring a range of beautiful role models with Down's syndorme and additional needs and disabilities. Hurry, they're flying off the shelves.

Are you looking for a funky but simple phone for a young adult with a learning disability? Then this 1st Fone might be for you. We were sent a free phone to trial for this review.

A play review this time, for Up Down Boy by Sue Shields and Myrtle Theatre about a boy with Down's Syndrome as he prepares to go to college.

We reveiwed the lovely Twinkl teaching resources in exchange for a platinum level membership for my time. Very useful for helping Natty with homework and learning at home.

Learning Resources sent us some Twisty Droppers and Handy Scoopers to try out! Fabulous for fine motor skill development. We did a GIVEAWAY on the blog.

The kind of product I really don't mind reviewing. This is a truely useful SEN product, a sturdy portable visual timetable that clips onto a school bag. It's called Tom Tag and is by Orkid Designs. We even made up games to play using the tags.

Golden Bear sent us a selection of Something Special toys to try out and review, including a Mr Tumble Doll.

See what Natty thought of them here. We were not paid for this review.

Slugs and Snails make 'bright tights for bold boys'. They sent Natty a couple of pairs to test run and we loved them. They definitely make a change from pink and the quality is second to none.
We won't be handing them back! Read the full review here.

We were aked to be involved in 2 amazing projects involving inclusive calendars this Winter. Both feature the Makaton sign language our children find so indespensible.

Read my review of the Shabang 2013 calendar and 2012 advent calendar by the Makaton Charity. Here you will also find links to purchase the Shabang calendar and enjoy the Makton advent films free.

Mia is an avid collector of Schleich horses and has 20 in all. When asked to review the new figurines with plaited or braided manes and tails, we snapped at the chance. We were not paid for this review.

  1. Hi Hayley Great story today re Natty's trip - the red coat was so cute and shoes wow.. What is the best way to contact you about product reviews? We have a new fruit snack, which was a great hit with Isaac, with Down's syndrome, the cool teenage son of friends of ours and made his Mum so pleased to see him take in fruit. I grew up with an adorable uncle in a similar situation with none of the provisions so have a glimpse of some of the struggles. Sorry if this is the wrong channel..Best wishes deborah@crusheduk.com
